Chapter 29 Inc. brings together all the different Ikebana schools practised in Melbourne. We currently represent the following schools in Melbourne: Adachi, Ichiyo, Ikenobo, Misho, Ohara, Shogetsudokoryu, and Sogetsu. We offer monthly meetings, where guests are made welcome. At each meeting we facilitate arrangements and excursions, organise demonstrations, and run an Ikebana library and swap table. We also encourage members to exhibit an arrangement. During the year there will be various Ikebana Exhibitions and we also participate annually in the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show. As a member you also receive from Japan three times a year an informative magazine showing arrangements and all conferences that are on worldwide.

We base the running of our Chapter on the idea of 'Friendship through Flowers' and meet monthly at Faichney Room, Toorak Uniting Church, 603 Toorak Road, Toorak 3143, on the second Tuesday of each month at 10.30am starting 12 February 2008.
